We believe everyone deserves access to high-quality respiratory care — and we’re here to help make that easier. Depending on your situation, you may be eligible for rebates through Medicare, private health insurance, Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) or funding through your Aged Care Package.

If you have a chronic lung condition, you may be eligible for a Medicare rebate under a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP) arranged by your GP.

• Up to 5 allied health sessions per year

• Rebate: approximately $58 per session

• We’ll provide a compliant invoice for easy claiming via myGov

Depending on your extras cover, your insurer may offer rebates for physiotherapy.

• Rebate amounts vary (typically 30–90% of session cost)

• We’ll supply all documentation needed for your claim

• Most insurers allow claiming via their app or website

• To work out your out of pocket expense prior to commencing with us at Active Lungs - we can give you our provider number, item number and price of treatment. All you need to do is contact your private health insurer with these details to determine what your out of pocket expense will be.

If you receive a Home Care Package through My Aged Care, you may be able to use part of your funding to access pulmonary rehabilitation services — including physiotherapy. At Active Lungs we work with your care coordinator to ensure services align with your goals and funding.

If you hold a DVA card, you may be eligible for funded services.
